We are always looking for energetic, passionate, and nurturing adults who strive to help us close the achievement gap for adolescent learners and grow professionally within a strong learning community.

If you are looking for a team oriented school that believes everyone is a learner, consider our school. We are one large middle school with three distinct academies that work together to achieve our mission of preparing students to be the best they can be. The DOE issued our school an A last year and 95% of the teachers received a bonus of $3000 or more for the achievement our students demonstrated in 2009

ESL: 12% of our students are English Language Learners (ELLs) and we are looking for someone who is a licensed ESL teacher who loves a challenge and loves working with a real team of caring professionals.

SPECIAL EDUCATION: We offer three types of special education programs: Collaborative Team Teaching (CTT), Self-Contained classes in specific subjects (ELA or Math), and Pull-out/Push-in Resource Program. We have a dedicated Special Education Coach to support our teachers develop as effective practitioners.

SCIENCE: We are a demonstration school for the Urban Advantage Program (www.urbanadvantagenyc.org) which provides teacher quality training and free access to all of NYC’s cultural institutions including all of the zoos and science museums to help teachers and students create quality science projects. We also have a dedicated science coach to support our teachers develop as effective practitioners.
