Haiti Earthquake: How to Help
AIMER Haiti is a grassroots organization whose mission is to create the largest directory of resources for all kinds of ideas and power as a structured framework for guiding decisions in favor of collective action and citizen for the welfare of all Haitians in respect of their civil and political rights. Never before has such as organization been necessary for the Haitian people in the wake of Haiti's current crisis. IS 68 will continue to welcome and partner with organizations such as AIMER Haiti to help members of our community and the People of Haiti through the relief and recovery process.

Special thanks to our Prinicpal, Mr. Fralin, who was unable to attend, but make it all possible for the community to come together in IS 68 School. Also, special thanks to Ms. Abdullah, Assistant Principal of Academy I, who addressed the group in Mr. Fralin's abscence, Mr. Damus, Academy I's Math Teacher, who is a member of AIMER Haiti, as well as, who organized the event on behalf of the victims of the earthquake in Haiti and Mr. Simeon, our gracious master of ceremony.
Since the evening was essentially about fundraising, special thanks goes out to Mr. Michel, Academy III English Teacher and his family and our Community volunteer, Ms. Rachel Dure, who connected with us and offered her assistance to the wonderful task of manning the front desk. Thanks to all of the AIMER Haiti's panel members: Mr. Wiener Roezeau, Mr. Carlo Damus, Mr. Vilaire Filsaime, Dr. Fanell Alerte, Mr. Camille Milfort, Mr. Alix Ceant and Ms. Carline Vals. Their presence provided the Haitian community a platform to share their ideas and come together as a community to mourn our losses and hope for a better tomorrow for the People of Haiti.
To contribute to the relief efforts in Haiti, make a monetary donation to the Clinton Bush Haiti Fund and the Mayor’s Fund to Advance New York and other reputable organizations such as Yele Haiti, where you can donate $5.00 by texting Yele 501 501.” Our thoughts are with the victims, family, and friends of those affected by this tragedy.

- I.S. 68: Send cash and/or make check payable to I.S. 68 and write “for Haiti” in the memo section and send and/or bring to the I.S. 68 school’s Main Office between 8:00am & 8:40am Monday thru Thursday.
- HAITI EARTHQUAKE RELIEF FUND: Make check payable to Haiti Relief and send to Mayor Fund to Advance New York City, 1 Centre Street, 23rd Floor, New York, NY 10007.
- WYCLEF JEAN: TEXT YELE TO 501 501 AND DONATE $5 TOWARD EARTHQUAKE RELIEF.
- REDCROSS: TEXT HAITI TO 90999 TO DONATE $10 TO RED CROSS RELIEF EFFORTS IN HAITI.

Nonperishable Foods : All Canned foods (veg. & fruit), oil, rice, beans, sugar, flour, salt, water/juice, oats, dry foods & dried milk.
EMERGENCY MEDICAL SUPPLIES: Bandages/band aides & dressings, medical tape, gauze, alcohol pads, peroxide, ointments/creams/gels, splints, swab sticks, disposable thermometers. Please feel free to contact me with any questions and keep Haiti, our staff, students and their families in your prays.
